Welcome to Keepsake Legal
At Keepsake Legal, we make estate planning a clear, guided process designed around you. From your first meeting to the final signing, we help you make thoughtful, confident decisions for your family’s future — without legal jargon or unnecessary stress.
Hi, I’m Chris Terril, and welcome to Keepsake Legal.
My practice is centered in supporting families in our community to build lasting peace of mind. With over a decade of experience in the legal field, I’ve developed a reputation as a thoughtful problem-solver and clear communicator. I take the time to get to know each family personally, ensuring that every estate plan reflects your values, goals, and unique family circumstances.
The most rewarding part of my day is speaking with clients—listening to their stories, understanding what matters most to them, and translating that into a plan that truly protects their loved ones. Because your consultation is such an important part of the process, our meetings are never rushed. You can expect a comfortable, collaborative conversation (and plenty of follow-up questions!) in a completely confidential and judgment-free environment.
As a busy parent of two young children, I understand the challenges of finding time for important tasks like estate planning. That’s why I’ve designed a process that’s convenient, flexible, and worry-free. My practice is fully tech-enabled, allowing most consultations to be conducted remotely and around your busy schedule.
From start to finish, the process typically takes about a month, and every client receives a complimentary post-design consultation for future updates. Most families find the experience surprisingly straightforward—and often tell me they wish they had started sooner.
Choosing the right lawyer for your family is a deeply personal decision, and I’m honored whenever someone places their trust in my firm.
A bit about my background: I’m a Bay Area native and graduate of UC Law San Francisco. Over my ten years in practice, I’ve represented major corporations in complex business and contract disputes, while also volunteering my time to assist low-wage workers, seniors, and immigrants with their legal needs. In 2025, I founded Keepsake Legal, PC to bring that same level of diligence and excellence to estate planning. Becoming a parent—and helping friends and family navigate their own planning—deeply influenced my decision to create a practice rooted in compassion, community, and integrity.
Outside of work, you’ll find me playing tennis with local USTA teams, pushing my son in his Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, volunteering with Contra Costa Senior Legal Services, or exploring the beautiful hiking trails around the Bay Area and beyond.
I’m grateful for the trust my clients place in me and would love to help you create a plan that brings lasting peace of mind.
